MUKAH (June 5): A man was shocked to find his 67-year-old aunt lifeless body in front of her bathroom at her house at Kampung Jebungan yesterday morning.
Mukah police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the deceased, identified as Philips Jaya, was single and lived alone.
According to him, the man phoned his aunt as he wanted to accompany her to buy some stuff.
The man then went to her house which is just nearby to check because no one picked up the phone.
“When he arrived at the house, he saw his aunt hanging in front of her bathroom. He told the incident to one of his cousins before lodging a police report,” Rizal said.
He added that initial investigation showed there was no foul play.
The body was then taken to Mukah Hospital for post mortem.
The case is being classified as sudden death.
