Covid-19: Julau, Saratok districts change to yellow zones

KUCHING (June 8): The number of Covid-19 yellow zones in Sarawak has increased to 10 after Julau and Saratok districts turn yellow today, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

“They changed from orange to yellow after recording only 18 and 19 locally transmitted Covid-19 cases each in the past 14 days,” it said.

The other yellow zone districts are Belaga, Telang Usan, Lawas, Daro, Tebedu, Limbang, Matu, and Lundu.

Districts categorised as Covid-19 orange zones are Simunjan and Pusa.

A total of 28 districts remain as red zones. They are Song, Sebauh, Kabong, Dalat, Bau, Marudi, Meradong, Lubok Antu, Beluru, Asajaya, Tanjung Manis, Tatau, Bukit Mabong, Betong, Sri Aman, Pakan, Kanowit, Selangau, Subis, Mukah, Sarikei, Samarahan, Serian, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu.

There are no more Covid-19 green zones in the state.

The Health Ministry categorises a district with no Covid-19 cases as a green zone, and over a two-week period, with one to 20 locally transmitted cases as yellow, 21 to 40 as orange and 41 and more as red.
