Covid-19: Sarawak’s cases rise to 631, third highest in the country

KUCHING (June 10): Sarawak recorded the third highest number of Covid-19 cases in the country today at 631.

This was a jump of over 200 cases compared to the 419 new Covid-19 cases recorded in the state yesterday.

In a Facebook post, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor continued to record the most cases at 1,510, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 769 cases.

“Malaysia recorded 5,641 cases today, bringing the cumulative total of positive cases nationwide to 639,562,” he said.

Other states and territories recording three-digit cases today were Negeri Sembilan (593), Johor (524), Kedah (309), Kelantan (262), Sabah (233), Melaka (184), Penang (166), Perak (143), Pahang (112), Terengganu (108), and Labuan (106).

Putrajaya reported 18 new Covid-19 cases today, while Perlis recorded just three new cases.
