Three localities in Sarawak placed under EMCO

KUCHING (June 12): Three localities in Lubok Antu, Lundu and Pakan have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from yesterday and today to break the chain of Covid-19 infections.

State Disaster Management Commitee (SDMC) in its daily update statement said Rh Jarop, Changkol in Lubok Auntu will be under the EMCO starting June 12 until June 24.

“Kampung Sebandi Hilir in Lundu is under EMCO from June 12 to 25 and Rh Kintan, Merampu in Pakan from June 12 to 28,” it added.

SDMC said the enforcement of EMCO in four other localities in Sri Aman, Tatau and Bintulu ended today.

They are Rh Igar, Bukit Tungku in Sri Aman, Rh Tiut Usit, Sungai Setulan, Jalan Pesisir Kuala Tatau in Tatau as well as Foreign Lodge, Block E9, Samalaju Industrial Park and Local Lodge LL4 in Bintulu.

SDMC said two other localities in Julau would see the end of EMCO tomorrow and Monday.

Rh Japar/Rh Gasah, Nanga Kemalih will be free from EMCO tomorrow while the EMCO will be lifted from Rh Lau, Rantau Pitak Entabi on Monday.

SDMC also reminded all that the Movement Control Order (MCO) had been extended until June 28 in light of the high number of infections.
