LIMBANG (June 13): A total of 73,923 individuals above 18 years old in Limbang Division are eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccines.

Of the number, 40,797 of them are from Limbang District and the rest from Lawas District.

According to Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Limbang District would receive 11,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines every week in effort to achieve the target of National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

“Total cooperation from the community is important in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19 infection,” he told the media after visiting the vaccination centre (PPV) at Limbang Civic Centre yesterday.

Awg Tengah, who is also Second Minister of Urban Development and Resources said that non-Malaysians had also agreed to receive the vaccines.

On the PPV, he said three more would be set up in Limbang to support the only one at the civic centre. They would be set up at Batu Danau community hall, Mendamit community hall and Limbang Indoor Stadium.

He hoped that with four PPVs, the vaccination process in the district would be speeded up.
