KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Covid-19 Disaster Management Committee on Tuesday allowed e-hailing services, registered taxis and food delivery services to move across districts.

However, Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said this is only allowed in Kota Kinabalu, Putatan and Penampang starting June, without police permit.

“This permission is given to registered e-hailing and taxi services, subject to standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council during the implementation of Movement Control Order to meet the needs of the community.

“Operating hours are from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm daily with a capacity limit of one passenger, except for medical or emergency purposes with a maximum limit of two passengers,” he said.
