KOTA KINABALU: Newly appointed Sabah Football Club (Sabah FC) director Datuk Dr Jelani Hamdan vows to make appropriate changes from time to time to strengthen the club.

He said matters regarding the club must be discussed with the club management so everyone is on the right track.

“Discussion must always be made among club management in order for us to move forward,” he said during his first official meeting with Sabah FC officers and players at the Sabah Football Association (SAFA) field on Thursday.

Jelani, who is also SAFA vice president, was appointed as Sabah FC director on June 10.

He added that all plans that have been put forward will continue for the good of the club.

“We will try to fix any problems while continuing existing plans that have been set in motion for the club,” he said.

When asked on matters regarding Sabah FC players, Jelani said he will leave it to the coach to decide.

“We will leave it to the coach as the coach knows what’s best for his players,” said Jelani.

Also present during the event were SAFA Assistant Secretary General Azman Mastar, SAFA Executive Secretary David Wisom, Sabah FC team manager Marzuki Nasir, Sabah FA technical director Scott
Olerenshaw and Sabah FC head coach Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto.
