KOTA KINABALU: Indonesian import player Saddil Ramdani and fellow Rhinos Alto Linus and Randy Baruh will play for Sabah FC beyond the current Malaysian League campaign.

Team manager Marzuki Nasir said the trio have signed contract extension to continue playing for the Rhinos until November next year.

He said the trio, who are all key members of Sabah FC coach Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, were rewarded for their good showing in the first round of the Super League.

Marzuki said the move also showed the commitment of Sabah FC in the effort to move towards a more professional and comprehensive management era.

Alto signs a contract extension with Sabah FC while Marzuki looks on.

“We will fulfil the promise made by the management to the players who show top level commitment and excellent performance on and off the pitch with Sabah FC.

“This is only the first step and we will continue to reward the players with contract extension if the management is happy with their commitment and performance,” he said in a statement.

According to Marzuki, the trio’s current deals last until November this year but the management decided to renew their contracts much earlier.

They signed the contracts renewal here on Tuesday and witnessed by Sabah FC chief executive officer Khairul Firdaus.

“Starting today (Tuesday), they will receive new contract and salary…it means there will be an increase to their salaries after an agreement was reached between the two parties,” he added.

Marzuki revealed the Sabah FC management is planning to make similar offer to several players soon.
“I hope the commitment showed by these three players (Saddil, Alto and Randy) will be a good example to their  teammates,” he said.

Indonesian international winger Saddil joined Sabah FC early this season and won much admiration from the supporters for his work rates as well as eyes for goal.

Alto, 34, is getting stronger each season despite his age and his ability to play in various positions is an asset to the squad.

As for Randy, the 26-year-old has made a name for himself as a tough tackling right side defender.
For the record, Sabah FC have completed 13 league matches and registered four wins, four draws and five losses.

The Rhinos are currently seventh on 16 points in the 12-team league, which Johor Darul Ta’zim lead on 30 points.

The state senior side will resume their league fixture against PJ City FC at the MBPJ Stadium on July 24.
