Covid-19: 544 new cases in Sarawak as Malaysia records 6,988 cases

KUCHING (July 1): Sarawak’s daily Covid-19 cases rose to 544 today from 376 yesterday, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

This brought the state’s infections tally to 69,677 cases, he said in a Facebook post.

“Nationwide speaking, a total of 6,988 cases were reported today, bringing the country’s cumulative number of cases to 758,967,” Dr Noor Hisham added.

Selangor topped the list of infections with 2,885 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur (988), Negeri Sembilan (692), Sarawak and Melaka (311).

Other states and territories that also reported three-digit cases were Johor (270), Kedah (250), Sabah (232), Pahang (195), Penang (174), Perak (149), Labuan (129) and Kelantan (108).

Those with two-digit cases were Terengganu (50) and Putrajaya (10) while Perlis had just one case.
