Covid-19: Sarawak’s new cases drop to 361, nationwide 6,658

KUCHING (July 3): Sarawak today recorded 361 new Covid-19 cases, a drop of 79 cases compared to 440 yesterday, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said this brought the state’s infections tally to 66,196 cases.

“Malaysia, as a whole, recorded 6,658 new cases today, with Selangor still topping the list of infections with a whooping 3,047 cases,” he said in a Facebook post.

These new infections brought the country’s cumulative number of cases to 772,607.

Negeri Sembilan came after Selangor with 699 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur (616), Johor (414) and Sarawak.

Other states and territories that also reported three-digit cases were Melaka (345), Sabah (322), Pahang (200), Penang (142), Kedah (145), Labuan (108) and Perak (101).

Those reporting two-digit cases were Kelantan (89), Terengganu (51) and Putrajaya (16) while Perlis had just two cases.
