KUCHING (Nov 30): Sarawak recorded only three Covid-19 deaths from Nov 22 to 27, where two were brought-in-dead (BID) cases, according to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
SDMC in its daily update on the pandemic today said that the first BID case was recorded by the Lawas Hospital on Nov 22 involving a 50 year-old man who needed assistance in his daily life.
The second BID case was of a 50 year-old woman whose body was brought to the Sarawak General Hospital on Nov 27. The woman had no known medical history.
On Nov 25 at the Miri Hospital, a 76 year-old woman with hypertension also died of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Sarawak continued to record below the 100 mark of new Covid-19, with 98 recorded today, where 94 of them were in Category 1 (asymptomatic) and Category 2 (mild symptoms), and the rest (4) in in Category 4 (lung infection and requiring oxygen support).
On the districts’ breakdown, Kuching recorded 25 cases followed by Sibu (19), Miri (13), Bintulu (11), Limbang (7) and Serian (5).
Lawas and Selangau each recorded three new cases, Samarahan and Bau two each, and Betong, Asajaya, Lundu, Daro, Pusa, Marudi, Subis and Saratok one each.
No new clusters were recorded in the state today, with four remained active, namely the Putai 2 Cluster in Bukit Mabong, Ensurai Cluster in Limbang, Jalan Sultan Tengah Rampangi Cluster in Kuching and Jalan Ong Tiang Swee Cluster in Kuching.
