KUCHING (Dec 21): The staff of the Ministry of Urban Development and Natural Resources (MUDeNR) have a big responsibility in ensuring that Sarawak’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) can be achieved, said Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

Speaking at the ministry’s Outstanding Service Awards and Appreciation Night, he said all of them need to work together in carrying out this responsibility.

“MUDeNR is given a heavy responsibility, to increase the state’s revenue as the state tries to get out of this pandemic crisis. Sarawak will implement many development projects to improve the well-being of the people,” he said.

Awang Tengah added the ministry’s staff must carry out their responsibilities with dedication so that the government’s policies can be achieved and Sarawak’s position on the journey to become a high-income state by 2030 secured.

On another matter, Awang Tengah thanked those who helped the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) achieve a thumping victory in the just-concluded state election.

“I also congratulate our YAB Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who led GPS to record this excellent victory,” he added.
