KUCHING (May 16): Several areas in Bau will be affected by water supply disruption tomorrow (May 17) from 9am to 6pm for an emergency maintenance work, said Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) in a scheduled work notice today.
“This disruption occurred due to a leak from a 500mm main pipe caused by works at the road shoulder of Lorong 10 Kpg Suba Bandar,” it said.
The affected areas are Kpg Pangkalan Bau, Suba Bandar, Bau Hospital, Kpg Suba Bau, Grogo, Rumih-Opar, Sibuluh, Jln Selalang/Tondong, Tondong Bazaar, Ara Hotel, Tondong Height, Kpg Apar, Barieng-Segong, Kpg Zon Singai, Badul, Senibong, Tg Poting, Musi-Atas, Jiu Phin, Musi, Sg Pinang, Boka Toya, Kandis Lama and Baru and the surrounding areas.
Consumers are advised to store sufficient amount of water for use during the disruption period.
JBALB Sarawak said it will ensure the water supply is restored as soon as possible to the affected areas.
