KUCHING (May 18): Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad (SCIB), through its subsidiary, has accepted one Letter of Award and Acceptance (LOA) for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract from Masama Sdn Bhd (Masama) .

SCIB Properties Sdn Bhd (SCIB Properties) will be undertaking the construction of road infrastructure in Bukit Goram, Katibas, Ngemah, and Machan as well as the proposed construction of Nanga Banjor, Nanga Makut roads, and Katibas in Song.

The LOA will see SCIB Properties undertake, implement, and complete the road construction project with the terms and conditions as stipulated in the Contract Document signed between Masama and Regional Corridor Development Authority (Recoda).

The contract is worth RM36 million for the construction of road infrastructures in Sarawak and it will run from May 2022 to April 2023.

“We are delighted that our efforts have resulted in securing this contract in Sarawak as SCIB has been aggressive in our participation in EPCC and construction tendering activities both in the government and private sector,” said SCIB group managing director/chief executive officer Rosland Othman.

“We have an excellent track record as a manufacturer and in Sarawak, we are the preferred supplier to not just the state government but also the private sector.”

He said SCIB is taking this opportunity to showcase its expertise in its capabilities in supplying quality manufactured products and also in offering customers technical expertise, professional consultation, and customised solutions.
