Driver extricated from car after landing in Lundu ravine

KUCHING (July 30): A driver was successfully extricated from his car after it skidded off the road and landed in a ravine in Kampung Senibung, Lundu around 6.50pm on Friday.

According to Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) statement, the victim was unconscious upon their arrival at the scene.

After he was safely extricated, the victim was sent to Lundu Hospital for further treatment.

In a separate incident, a parked car suddenly caught fire in front of a bank at Siburan town around 6.35pm on Friday.

At the scene were firefighters from the Siburan fire station, who used  two water hoses to control and extinguish the flames.

The car was 80 per cent destroyed by the fire.

The operations ended at 7.06 pm and no injuries were reported from the incident.
