In his brief remark, Dr Chan hailed such gathering as a very good and meaningful platform for the senior golfers to get together and foster spirit of camaraderie.

Meanwhile, the SGGS announced that it was organising a golf outing to Batam, Indonesia, scheduled to run from Feb 7 to 11 this year.

“Currently, 29 golfers have signed up for the trip.

“Other events for this year will be the ‘Hari Raya Golf’ in early May, ‘Gawai Golf’ in June, as well as the ‘Sarawak Senior Amateur Closed’ on the first week of July, jointly organised by SGSS and Sibu Golf Club.

“Other events will be announced upon the confirmation of the dates and venues,” it said.
