BINTULU (Feb 18): An Indonesian man was killed after a three-tonne lorry that he was driving skidded off the road and crashed into a tree in front of a factory in Kidurong here today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak operations centre, in a statement, said that the victim was identified as Muhamad Arif, 50.
Five firefighters from the Kidurong station were sent to the location after Bomba received a call at 4.30pm.
“The victim was trapped in the driver’s seat, and was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics upon inspection.
“The firefighters worked together to extricate the victim out of the vehicle.
“The body was later handed over to the police for further action,” said Bomba.
