KOTA SAMARAHAN (April 30): Several stalls and canopies were seized by the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) during an enforcement operation at multiple locations within its jurisdiction yesterday.
MPKS, in a statement, said the operation targeted individuals and traders who left business equipment in unauthorised public areas.
Apart from stalls and canopies, the other items seized included gas cylinders, chairs and other merchandise found to have been placed without approval.
“The action was necessary to ensure public spaces remain orderly, safe and free from obstruction, while also ensuring that business activities comply with established regulations.
“MPKS would like to remind the public, particularly traders, to adhere to guidelines and obtain prior permission before conducting any activities in public areas,” the council said.
It added that monitoring and enforcement operations will continue from time to time to ensure ongoing compliance.
