KUCHING: Police are looking for Lau Ngie Ung and Tang Tung Chai to assist in their investigation in a murder case in Sibu last year and an attempted murder in Miri this year.
They are 36-year-old Lau Ngie Ung @ Lao San whose last known address is No.7B Lorong 3, Lim Han Swee Estate in Sibu; and 46-year-old Tang Tung Chai @ Ah Tak, last known address No.3A, Jalan Kelapa in Sibu.
State deputy police commissioner Dato Law Hong Soon said the two suspects were jointly involved in a murder case in Sibu in December 2012, while Tang was also involved in an attempted murder in Miri and causing mischief with fire in Sibu – both in June this year.
“Both men, high on the wanted list, are believed to be in hiding in the state. We have also determined that they belong to two of the 16 gangster groups gazetted as illegal by the Home Ministry,” Law said during a press conference here yesterday.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest police station.
