KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s total palm oil stocks in July 2015 increased 5.29 per cent to 2.27 million tonnes against 2.15 million tonnes recorded in the previous month. In a statement today, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said the crude palm oil (CPO) stock for July rose 13.93 per cent to 1.26 million tonnes against 1.10 million tonnes previously. Processed palm oil stock fell by 3.78 per cent to 1.01 million tonnes in July, it said. Total CPO production rose 2.93 per cent to 1.82 million tonnes at end-July against 1.76 million tonnes previously. Exports of biodiesel for July increased by 105.56 per cent, or 46,601 tonnes, from 22,670 tonnes previously. Exports of palm oil fell 5.61 per cent to 1.602 million tonnes compared with 1.697 million tonnes in June. Meanwhile, import of CPO for July rose by 32.08 per cent to 104,863 tonnes compared with the previous month, while palm oil imports increased 38.02 per cent to 142,845 tonnes. The average fresh fruit bunches price in July was quoted at RM22.79 per tonne, down 3.68 per cent from RM23.66 per tonne previously. — Bernama
