Hilton brings wine-and-dine experience to Kuchingites

KUCHING: Hilton Kuching is set to bring a special wine-and-dine experience to city folks tomorrow with its ‘Ultimate Wine Dinner’ at its fine-dining restaurant The Steakhouse.The hotel’s general manager Peter Simson said the special ‘one-night only’ event would feature interesting pairings of delectable dishes with a selection of fine Spanish wines.

“We always try to actively organise activities for our guests, one of which is our Ultimate Wine Dinner. We’d like to promote to guests the experience of wine-tasting and at the same time, allowing them to savour the uniqueness and richness of having fine food being complemented with fine wines, which in our case will be a range of wines from Spanish winemaker Torres,” he explained.

Among specialities to be included for tomorrow’s full-service eight-course dinner would be Spanish Goat Cheese, Strawberry Jam and Balsamic Reduction paired with Vina Esmeralda 2008 for starters. Proceeding to the main course, the restaurant would serve Esmeralda-Marinated Lamb Loin with Koffman Cabbage and Apple Chutney in Bittersweet Chocolate Sauce, matched with Celeste Ribera del Duero 2005 and Gran Sangre de Toro 2005. Topping it off would be Natillas (Spanish Oil Cake) complemented by Moscatel Oro.

The Ultimate Wine Dinner is set to be a full-style affair for guests with a welcome reception at Senso at 7pm, followed by the dinner at The Steakhouse at 7.30pm. Price would be RM159++ per person.
