BN component parties should not express dissatisfaction publicly – Sabah DCM

KOTA KINABALU: As members of the Barisan Nasional (BN), each party should sit and discuss matters together instead of expressing their dissatisfaction through the media, said Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Yahya Hussin yesterday.

He said making remarks through the media was not going to solve problems, in fact, it would cause confusion and give the impression that there was a dispute within the BN component parties.

“I ask for all component parties with problems that need to be addressed to sit down and solve the matter amicably.

“We are a family. We need each other, especially in facing the next general election,” he said.

Yahya, who is also State Umno Secretary, was asked to comment on a statement by Liberal Democratic Party deputy president Datuk Chin Su Phin recently, claiming that last week’s Sarawak State Election showed BN’s failure to realise the needs of the people, especially the Chinese community.

Chin also said the leadership issue troubling Sarawak was the same as in Sabah. — Bernama
