SANDAKAN: A burglar sustained fractures on the legs when he fell off the first floor of a shophouse in Bandar Sibuga Jaya near here yesterday.
A police team nabbed the 22-year-old suspect and seized four sets of mobile phones, believed to have been stolen.
District police deputy chief Superintendent Fadzil Mohd Ali said the suspect had earlier broken into the building, via a kitchen window, about 3am.
He said that upon being spotted by a housewife, the intruder attempted to escape, only to fall off the first floor and break his legs. – Bernama
