KUALA LUMPUR: Some 5,000 people attended the Aidilfitri open house hosted by the Information Communication and Culture Ministry at the Craft Complex, here yesterday.
Present at the event were Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim and his wife Datin Seri Masnah Rais.
In his speech, Rais urged the people to seek forgiveness from one another and to uphold the 1Malaysia concept in the spirit of Aidilfitri and independence day.
At the event, Rais handed over contributions to 895 staff of the ministry comprising security officers, drivers and general workers.
Seventeen stalls providing various types of food were set up during the open house.
