KUCHING: A female college student lodged a police report following an alleged road bully incident in Petra Jaya late Monday night.
The 23-year-old was driving alone along Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman Yakub around 11.30pm when another car with five unknown persons inside drove up alongside her and made threatening hand gestures at her.
The vehicle then cut in front of her and forced her to the side of the road, before the male driver and his friends alighted.
Fearing for her safety, the student claimed she accelerated her vehicle slightly, nicking the men’s car in the process- and sped towards Semariang. The men gave chase and blocked her vehicle once more at a roundabout before threatening to harm her if she did not pay for the minor damage she caused to their car when she initially sped off.
Not wanting to aggravate the situation, the student paid the men — although it was unclear how much — before making her way to the police station to lodge a report.
