SIBU: Borneo has been chosen for the 2nd South East Asia Harley Owners Group (SEA HOG) Rally because of its precious racial and cultural diversity.

Naza Group of Companies chief operating officer Datuk SM Zulkifli SM Amin said this at a dinner attended by more than 200 participants from all over the world held at RH Hotel here on Saturday.

“We are here because Borneo has the combination of cultural and racial diversity, and has a wide variety of food,” he said, adding with enthusiasm that the uniqueness is a great asset to Malaysia.

“Most of the participants come from big cities, and Borneo is definitely a good place for them to experience something different,” he added.

Zulkifli said the event is a good way for them to experience the tropical jungle and way of life first hand.

He said there are 1.5 million active members in the Harley- Davidson network throughout the world, and that 400 of them are from Malaysia.

Zulkifli, COO of Naza, the master dealer of Harley-Davidson in Kuala Lumpur, said the price for a machine ranges from RM80,000 to RM400,000.

“It is not just merely a bike. It is a lifestyle.” Zulkifli said a Harley-Davidson, if kept for 20 years, would be worth much more, like no other.

Naza and RH Hotel were among the sponsors for the event.

Harley Owners Group Malaysia chapter president Choo Kai Mun was present at the dinner.
