BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A fire broke out on the lower floor of Teguh Raya Supermarket in Serusop yesterday morning. Fortunately, the blaze was put out within 10 minutes after Fire & Rescue personnel arrived at the scene, Borneo Bulletin reported.

Four fire engines and 19 personnel from Berakas Fire Station, Lambak Kanan Fire Station led by Commanding Officer of Operation ‘C’ Unit, Awang bin Hj Tengah, were dispatched after the Fire & Rescue Department received a distress call at about 7.45am.

The Fire & Rescue Department believes that the fire may have started from a faulty capacitor unit. Investigations are currently ongoing to ascertain the estimated loss.
