KUCHING: A youth from Kota Samarahan was hospitalised early yesterday after he was stabbed in the chest by an unknown person at a night spot.
The 21-year-old was hanging out with several friends at the entertainment outlet around 2am when a man walked up to him and stabbed him with a sharp object.
His victim and his friends were too shocked by what happened that none of them did anything to apprehend the attacker, who fled from the premises and disappeared on foot.
The youth, who claimed not to know the assailant or the motive of the stabbing, was sent by his friends to Sarawak General Hospital where was reported to be in stable condition.
A police report of the incident has been lodged.
