No advisory issued by State Govt

KOTA KINABALU: The State Government yesterday said it had not issued any advisory prohibiting public and travellers from visiting islands in Sabah following the gunfight between the security forces and armed group from the Southern Philippines in Lahad Datu.

Sabah Security Council’s (SSC) secretary Rodzi Md Saad released a clarification via email to the local media here to clear the confusion that arises following an alleged written announcement from the Home Ministry advising against any visit to all isolated islands in Sabah circulated online.

“All businesses and activities are as usual and SSC appologises for any confusion,” he said.
