SIBU: The Malaysian Army Veterans Association Sarawak (PVTMNS) will hold its annual general meeting at the Civic Centre here at 8am on March 9.
According to its president Thomas Ling, PVTMNS patron Datuk Talip Zulpilip, who is also the Assistant Minister of Tourism, will officiate at the AGM.
“Since its establishment on Nov 1, 2011, PVTMNS has successfully recruited 1,200 members throughout the state,” he told a press conference here yesterday.
Also present was the vice-president of PVTMNS, Idres Adam.
Ling said since the setup, PVTMNS has successfully assisted former veterans in their pension, compassionate aid, education and house-repair, among others.
“PVTMNS plays an important role for its members and never neglects any member irrespective of their background,” he said.
He urged all members of PVTMNS throughout the state to come to the AGM to show their support and loyalty.
