KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu State Information Department will set up a special media centre for journalists covering the 13th general election (GE13).
State Information Director Azizah Awang said the special media centre would be located at the Terengganu Press Club (Kawat) office to channel the latest information on the GE13.
“We will open the media centre as soon as the dissolution of Parliament is announced until the completion of the general election.
“Initially, the centre will be operational from 8am to 5pm but when the nomination of candidates is announced, the centre will be operational until midnight and subsequently it will operate 24 hours on polling day,” she said.
Azizah said this when met after visiting the Kawat office, here yesterday. Also present was Kawat president Ayob Mamat.
She said the Information Department would deploy between five and 10 staff at the centre and provide several computers to channel the latest information on the general election to the media. — Bernama
