SEMPORNA: The widow of a slain policeman has made an impassioned plea to Sulu intruders to stop the killing of security forces.

Siti Badorah Mahalil, 39, widow of Sergeant Azis Sarikon, who were among policemen killed in an ambush in Kampung Simunul, Semporna on Saturday, said: “I plead desperately, enough is enough. I do not want to see any more casualties. It breaks my heart to hear the cries of parents losing their children, wives losing their husbands, and children losing their fathers.”

Speaking to reporters through tears at her house here yesterday, Siti Bandorah, who hails from Semporna, said the intruders put life in the once-peaceful Kampung Tanduo in peril and the sufferings they inflicted showed that they were out to cause chaos in Sabah.

Her eldest child, Mohd Farid Zulhelmy, 18, said despite losing his father, he was proud that he died as a national warrior. — Bernama
