MUAR: Terengganu rider Mohd Harrif Salleh swept to the fore in the men’s elite 190km road race in the 2013 National Grand Prix Cycling Championship Circuit 1 from Muar to Lenga, here yesterday.
Mohd Hariff clocked four hours 35 minutes to overcome Nik Mohd Hazwan from Police who was just a wheel-length behind at the Dataran Tanjung Emas finishing line while Mohd Zamri Saleh from Armed Forces finished third with a time of 4’35.07s.

In the Junior category, Mohd Al-Azni Zainal, from Sekolah Sains Tengku Mahmud Iskandar, Kota Tinggi, beat 149 other riders to win the 137km race.
He clocked 3’23.34 to beat Shahrul Afham Rosdi from Terengganu by a mere .03 seconds while third place went to Mohd Syazrin Shaari from Kuala Lumpur.
In the women’s category, Noor Azan Alias from Muar emerged victorious in the race held over 110km with a time of 3’12.48s, beating Kedah’s Masziyaton Mohd Radzi in a race that was decided by a photo-finish as both clocked the same time.
