KUALA KANGSAR: Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir says the derogatory remark on him made by Perak PAS deputy commissioner Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin was undignified.
He said such ‘dirty words’ would be uttered only by people with a ‘dirty heart’.
“I will not say such words to be heard by my children. Is this the image of a politician who is purportedly struggling for the people’s welfare in the name of religion.
“Does Islam allow its followers to curse, condemn and humiliate a fellow Muslim?” he asked after launching the Perak BN’s manifesto here yesterday.
Nizar, the PAS candidate for the Changkat Jering state seat had made the disparaging remark against Zambry in a ceramah at Kampung Batu Sembilan, near Changkat Jering, Sunday.
The former Perak Menteri Besar had also accused Zambry of approving land to certain individuals and his crony companies at the ceramah.
Perak DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming had also likened Zambry to a ‘black metallic’ recently.
Earlier, Zambry, who unveiled Perak BN’s manifesto, said the manifesto centred on 11 core themes which provided something for everyone.
The themes are People’s Well-Being; People’s Housing; Stimulating People’s Economy; People’s Safety and Security; Balanced Development for the People; Society With Skills, Education and Integrity. — Bernama
