KUCHING: Staff of the Information Department recently bade farewell to their retiring colleagues and those who are transferring to other states or divisions by holding a reception at a leading hotel in the city.
Those who are retiring soon are Visual Arts, Design And Communication Division principal assistant director Nor Aini Basri, senior clerk Kueh Han Boon (headquarters), senior photographer Hafaz Suni (headquarters), Information assistant Cheng Ing Sing (Kuching division) and Mathew Eric Junit (Sri Aman).
Those who are transferring are Salehuddin Klewan (to Segamat, Johor), Mazuriwati Ahmad (to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu), Johan Hamudi (to Intan Sarawak) and Fazalina Bojeng (to RTM Kuching).
Among those present was acting state director Zaini Mohamad who in his brief speech thanked all of them for being committed in their work while with the department.
He said it was important that they continued to keep in touch with the department.
Zaini also presented them with souvenirs and gifts from other staff.
