SIBU: A doctor who does not want to be on her own at the Borneo Post Run on Aug 31 has successfully coaxed her nurses to join her for the run.
“I’m bringing about 20 staffers of the Sibu Hospital to join me for the run.
“Most of them are nurses,” said the doctor who requested to be identified as Dr Lim.
She believes there are other staffers joining the run but with their own groups of friends.
“We are all from different departments, so I am not sure how many are joining. But, those joining me are about 20,” she said.
While most of them are joining the BP Run for the first time, Dr Lim said she was one the runners at the previous two BP Runs.
“I don’t run regularly, but if I have time and if invited, I’ll put on my running shoes,” she enthused. Her target at the coming event is to break her own record. “I aim to complete the distance around one hour,” she said.
Dr Lim bagged a consolation prize in last year’s BP Run.
