KOTA KINABALU: The president of the Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI), Michael Lui, yesterday urged members of KKCCCI to hoist the National and Sabah flags to celebrate the country’s National Day, which they can collect from the KKCCCI secretariat.
Michael Lui said the hoisting of National and State flags to celebrate the National Day not only shows the citizen’s respect to the Nation and the state but is also a symbol of patriotism to the country.
In view of this, KKCCCI has made an order National and Sabah flags which would be given free to their members. The flags are now available for collection.
He therefore urged qualified members which include ordinary members, trade association members, life members and the newly recruited members to come to the secretariat to collect their flags and hoist the flags as soon as possible.
He said each member is entitled to one national flag and one Sabah flag and the last date for collection is August 24.
