Staff sharing the joy of Chinese New Year with the students.
KUCHING: In embracing the joyous festive season, early childhood education provider Smart Reader Worldwide and its subsidiary, Aim Smart Academics (ASA) organised a Chinese New Year party for 136 special students of Perkata at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee recently.
According to ASA in its press release, students aged four to seven were given light refreshments, oranges and goodie bags during the occasion.
ASA manager Norma John said: “The party is held in line with the company’s objective of giving back to the society, especially the welfare of children everywhere.”
During the party, staff of ASA decorated the centre with Chinese New Year lanterns and ‘ong lai’ (paper pineapples) for good luck.
Also present were the principal of Perkata, Doreen Tie and the principal of Smart Reader Kids Jalan Rubber Road West, Valentina Freni.
Meanwhile in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Aim Smart Academics staff led by assistant manager Henry Ungkir, visited Taman Didikan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya (TDKKU) Sembulan for the same good cause.
Also present was the principal of Smart Reader Kids Golf Garden, Junita Junid.
Smart Reader Worldwide was co-founded by its CEO Datuk Sri Dr Richard Ong and group executive director Datin Sri Datuk Dr K H Wang more than 10 years ago.
