KUCHING: A man was slapped with a RM800 fine in default of two weeks in jail after he pleaded guilty to trespassing a house at Kampung Semariang Baru in Petra Jaya on Tuesday.
Salahuddin Ayubi Ibrahim, 24, was convicted on his own plea by Magistrate Zulhairil Sulaiman under Section 448 of the Penal Code that provides for a jail term of up to three years or a fine up to RM5,000.
He committed the offence in the afternoon of March 11. The complainant said the accused had entered her mother’s house and was found inside a bedroom belonging to her sister.
When he (Salahuddin) realised the presence of the complainant, there was a struggle between them before he was pushed into a room by the complainant.
The room was then locked and the complainant informed her husband. The accused later surrendered to
the police and a police report was lodged.
Also seized from the accused was a Honda EX5 belonging to him which was parked outside the gate of the house.
