Nine on bail, police seek six more over ‘nude sport’

GEORGE TOWN: Nine people, including a foreigner, were freed on police bail yesterday, in connection with a so-called nude sport activity held at the Teluk Kampi Beach in the Penang National Park.

Six others — two locals and four foreigners — are being sought to facilitate police investigations into the activities.

The six, whose names were released by the police, comprise a doctor from Singapore, a Philippine national, a Myanmar couple and two Malaysians, one of whom is employed in the island republic.

Penang CID chief SAC Mazlan Kesah said the police were waiting for information from Interpol on the whereabouts of the four foreigners.
