KUCHING: Sarawak Children Cancer Society (SCCS) gave a big Thank You to Land Development Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Masing for pledging RM10,000 during yesterday’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in Kapit.
“We (SCCS) are very appreciative of the minister, Tan Sri Dr James Masing, for choosing us as the beneficiary when taking up the Ice Bucket Challenge.
“That was very thoughtful and heartfelt, and on behalf of SCCS, we want to say a big Thank You and kudos to him,” said SCCS manager Jodie Sim when contacted yesterday.
Masing, who is also PRS president, took up the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at his residence in Kapit, together with eight others from PRS.
He said he chose the SCCS as his preferred charitable organisation to receive his donation.
He also nominated SUPP secretary general Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian, PKR Sarawak chairman Baru Bian and Krian assemblyman Ali Biju as the next three persons to take up the challenge.
