Zumbathon enthusiasts follow the guidance of the instructors at ‘Zumbathon Superstar Kuching’.
KUCHING: More than 400 Zumba enthusiasts danced up a storm in the name of charity at ‘Zumbathon Superstar Kuching’ that was held at The Hill shopping mall yesterday.
The charitable event was organised by Glam Empire Fitness Studio as part of its efforts to raise funds for Save Our Strays (SOS), a non-profit voluntary group that aims to raise awareness and educate people on fostering humane methods in controlling the population of strays in Kuching.
“We managed to sell more than 400 tickets to ‘Zumbathon Superstar Kuching’ and 100 per cent of proceeds from the ticket sales amounting to around RM8,000 will go towards SOS,” said the event’s organising chairman Victor Druce yesterday.
Victor, who is a certified Zumba instructor, joined 18 other instructors who hail from throughout the country to dance for a good cause with those in attendance.
“It’s great to see so many people coming in to show their support for SOS while at the same time, enjoy themselves with a good two-hour dance workout with their family and friends,” he remarked.
