KUCHING: A total of nine individuals were detained by Padawan police and 51 various road offences issued in an operation over the weekend to combat crime in the jurisdiction.
Padawan police chief Supt Ng Ah Lek conducted a briefing before the operation.
A total of 104 officers and personnel from other police stations were involved.
During the operation, which ended at 3am yesterday, they checked on entertainment outlets, conducted crime prevention patrolling and set up roadblocks.
Ng said they will conduct these operations continuously to prevent crime.
