KUCHING: The racial remarks made by netizens need to be stopped from spreading before the situation gets out of hand, Padungan assemblyman Wong King Wei pointed out.

He said the incident at Low Yat Plaza in Kuala Lumpur needed to be taken care of before it gets worse as it could be manipulated by some extremists to create or spread racial hatred.

“We have to demonstrate good values to the society especially for the future generation. Therefore, I hope the issue can be settled as
soon as possible and the police have to take action to stop the person who is creating the racial hatred,” he said when met yesterday.

“As Malaysians, we don’t need to segregate certain races because we live in one country. There shouldn’t be any racial issue for anything,” Wong stressed.
