Hospital Sentosa seeks Hope Place’s help for their outpatients

KUCHING: Charitable organisation Hope Place took time out of their busy schedule to assist Hospital Sentosa Medical Social Workers Department last Saturday.

According to a press statement, the department had heard of Hope Place’s activities of helping the poor and needy through the newspapers and immediately contacted its founder Kelvin Wan to request that they help their outpatients.

Some of Hospital Sentosa’s outpatients are very poor and are in great need of help.

Following interviews with families of these patients, Hope Place identified 14 families who needed immediate assistance.

Wan and a group of volunteers presented food and other essential items to Social Workers Department head Fatimah Sharaie last Saturday.

The hospital’s medical team then delivered the items to the families.

Some of the items delivered include rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, biscuit, noodle, Milo beverage powder, oat and water. Diapers were also donated to the hospital.
