IPOH: The police have detained a lorry driver to facilitate investigations into the murder of a man whose headless body was found in Slim River near Tanjung Malim on Friday.
The 35-year-old suspect was arrested at his father’s house in Kampung Air Jada, Gerik about 2pm.
Perak Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief SAC Goh Kok Liang said the police had seized a machete and knife, believed to be the murder weapon.
He said the police found a red and yellow plastic dog food sack which contained a black plastic garbage bag containing the severed head of the murder victim, identified as K. Ganesan, 50, from Taman Slim Indah, Slim River.
Goh said about 2.10am, the headless body of the victim was found in a ditch.
It is understood that Ganesan was murdered following a quarrel with a lorry driver. — BERNAMA
