PUTRAJAYA: The Communications and Multimedia Ministry(KKMM) wants to produce more Civil Service Mentors (AKRAB) to help the human resource division raise the productivity, performance and excellence of its staff.

KKMM secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad said these mentors were volunteers who gave counselling to staff who faced problems.

“I am proud that those who become KKMM’s mentors are not only officers but also from all sections, including drivers.

“I hope more will become the ministry’s mentors…the more the better because it will directly help enhance staff performance and excellence at the ministry’s level,” he said after attending the KKMM AKRAB accreditation closing ceremony at the ministry’s level here yesterday.

At the function Sharifah Zarah presented certificates to 25 of the ministry’s mentors.

At present there are 200 accreditated AKRAB in the ministry. — Bernama
