Sarawak PAS seeks reduction of driving school fees

MIRI: Sarawak PAS has called on the Transport Ministry to reduce the fees imposed by driving schools in the country.

Sarawak PAS commissioner Jofri Jaraiee said today the fees, ranging from RM350 to RM1,250 enforced in 2014, were too high for people in the low-income group in the present economic situation.

“The people are already burdened enough with the rising cost of living. The Transport Ministry should reduce the fees, maybe to less than RM1,000,” he said in a statement.

The present fees are RM350 for motorcycle Class B2, RM900 for motorcycle Class B, RM1,150 for car (manual) and RM1,250 for car (automatic). -BERNAMA
