KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Bhd, which is now reaching the third phase of its transformation plan, has approved 13 new initiatives to further grow its revenue, says Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh.

The nation’s postal service provider launched its five-year strategic plan in 2012, among others, to diversify revenue.

“We want to make full use of our assets and as most of the old initiatives take about three years to realise, there will be new initiatives introduced to keep the company aligned with our plan to generate more revenue,” he told reporters at the launch of Pos Laju EziDrive-Thru here today.

Mohd Shukrie said in the last four to five years, the company saw its revenue improve consistently.

“In the financial year ended March 30, 2015, our revenue stood at RM1.7 billion compared with RM1 billion some four to five years ago.

“That’s an improvement of about 70 per cent,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mohd Shukrie said with the launch of the EziDrive-Thru, Pos Laju aimed to grow the number of its Pos Laju EziDrive-Thru stations to ten by  year-end from the existing three stations.

The team is currently going around the country to find suitable locations to park the services.

“Via the EziDrive-Thru, Pos Laju customers can now enjoy an experience like never before which is to pass their Pos Laju items from within the comfort of their car to the EziDrive-Thru personnel through the car window,” he said.

The services allow the company to increase its customer touch-points and offer more convenient channels that fit their busy lifestyles, providing them with the flexibility to send or collect their packages whenever they want and at nearby locations.

Concurrently, Pos Laju is in the midst of rolling out another two Pos Laju EziDrive-Thru stations at PPL Putrajaya and Kelana Jaya and these facilities are expected to be ready by end-September. – Bernama
