State delegation meets with potential Japanese investors

TOKYO: A delegation from the Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development, Trade and Investment has met with several potential investors in Tokyo, Japan at a series of specially arranged meetings.

The meetings were with three Japanese companies that are interested in biomass to produce pellets for the Japanese and Korean markets.

Assistant Minister of Industrial Development (Investment and Promotion) Datuk Julaihi Narawi and Assistant Minister of Entrepreneur Development Datuk Mohamad Naroden Majais are leading the delegation.

Also in the delegation are Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development, Trade and Investment permanent secretary Datu Liaw Soon Eng and other senior government officials.

The state delegation is part of Malaysia’s Trade and Investment Mission to Japan and Korea organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) and led by Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.

After three days in Tokyo, the Sarawak team will join the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in Seoul, South Korea.
